![]() With languages defined in styles it uses the language of the respective style. New documents from template use the language of that template. New documents from scratch use the language of my system. Spell checking always worked for me and in all those years I could never reproduce any of the reported problems with it. It doesn't appear to happen if the new line is at the end of my document. I have had these problems with spell checking for many years. The language indicator in the status bar immediately goes to language (none) ![]() Then I insert a new line and select style Heading2.
